City Wide and Performance Improvement Rounds

Rounds are an accredited group learning activity as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Location of Rounds will be specified weekly. Division Rounds are held from 7:00AM to 8:00AM.

All City-Wide Rounds are webcast live. Performance Improvement Rounds will not be webcast.

General Surgery City Wide rounds will be using the new webcast system UBC Collab. You can join via through your web browser.  The new system allows the online audience to broadcast their image and audio (like Skype).

To join our webcast, please go to and enter the 5-digit conference ID 30324 (please use 30306 for March 21)

Please note:

  • Please enter with your microphone and camera turned on (you can mute them after entering). This is to ensure your mic will function if you want to ask a question.
  • Please mute your microphone when you’re not speaking
  • You can turn off your camera if you don’t want to appear on screen
  • To claim CME credits, please type “CME” into the chat box as usual

You can test your connection and practice using the new system at any time by visiting and entering into the conference ID field. If you are unsuccessful with your connection test, please call the Service Desk at 1-877-266-0666 – option #2.  Google Chrome is recommended for Windows or Mac.
