Biographic Summary ( Background, Academic Interests and Activities, Clinical Activities )
Dr. Weir has been in clinical practice since 1991, with expertise in breast cancer and sarcoma. She is also actively involved in teaching and clinical research. She has been the local Principal Investigator for breast cancer trials run through the NSABP from 1990 to the present. She served as chair of the Medical Advisory Committee of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for 6 years. She is currently a member of the UBC BCCA Research Ethics Board.
