CAME Rising Star Certificate of Excellence- early-career contributions to medical education.

Lucas Streith has been awarded the Canadian Association for Medical Education (CAME) Rising Star Certificate of Excellence in recognition of his early-career contributions to medical education.

The CAME Rising Star Certificate of Excellence recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding promise and impact in health professions education.

Congratulations to Lucas on this well-deserved recognition.

Lucas is a general surgery PGY3 at UBC, taking time away from clinical training to explore his passion for teaching, education scholarship, and research. He completed the Master of Health Professions Education at UBC and Maastricht University in 2024, and is now a PhD candidate in health professions education at Maastricht University as well as a resident in the Clinician Investigator Program at UBC. Lucas’ research focuses on the role of anatomy in teaching and learning surgical decision-making, with the aim of finding ways to accelerate expertise development for surgical trainees.
