Head & neck surgical oncology (oral cavity, pharyngeal, laryngeal, and salivary cancers)
Head & neck and facial reconstruction including microvascular reconstruction
Head & neck skin cancer including melanoma and sentinel lymph node biopsy
Transoral robotic surgery (TORS) and transoral laser microsurgery (TLM)
Thyroid surgery for benign and malignant disease using intraoperative laryngeal nerve monitoring
Parathyroid surgery including minimally invasive approaches and intraoperative parathyroid hormone (PTH) monitoring

Education and Training:
Dr. Parhar graduated from the University of British Columbia medical school and subsequently completed residency training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at UBC. He also completed a Master of Public Health degree at Harvard University, with a concentration in quality improvement in head and neck surgical oncology.
He then completed an American Head and Neck Society-accredited fellowship in advanced head and neck surgical oncology, microvascular reconstruction, advanced thyroid and parathyroid endocrine surgery, and robotic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Dr. Parhar has subsequently returned to Vancouver to join the Head & Neck Oncologic Surgery team at Vancouver General Hospital and BC Cancer, where he sees patients from across British Columbia.
