Dr. Neely Panton talk on “Universal Access to Surgery”

dr-neely-pantonDr. Neely Panton (Head, General Surgery) was invited to participate in a panel discussion on “Universal Access to Surgery: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly” at the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress, Washington DC on October 17th. He gave a presentation entitled “ Access to Surgery: The Canadian Experience”.

Dr. Morad Hameed was in attendance and reported that Dr. Panton gave “a tour de force tour of Canadian health care and a sober and balanced assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of a system that aims to provide universal access to surgical services. It was of great interest to US and international audiences. Congratulations to Neely and his team for the thoughtful data analysis and presentation.”
