58. – A four year sentence?

Congratulations to:

EvaSo2012Eva So (General Surgery, a PhD student) 3rd. from left in front row
with Dr. Alice Mui 1st. from left in front row
who has received an UBC 4YF (4 year fellowship) to continue her work on understanding the mechanism of action of the anti-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-10 (IL10).

L10 is the body’s natural protective agent against inflammatory stimuli and trauma ….such as surgical incisions. Eva’s work has already led to development of new drugs that mimics the action of IL10 and inhibits colitis and arthritis.
