Dr. Timothy Kieffer (General Surgery, Associate Member) is the recipient of an UBC Killam Research Fellowship. Ten UBC Killam Faculty Research Fellowships are provided annually to support scholars who wish to devote full time to research and study in their field during a recognized study leave. Dr. Kieffer’s research focuses on treatments for diabetes, and is a world leader in the development of pancreatic islets from stem cells.
