On May 5, 2023, UBC Department of Surgery staff members participated in an exciting day of physical activity and intellectual challenges at the UBC Sports Day organized by UBC Athletics and Recreation. The event was a great opportunity for the team to engage in physical activity, promote a healthy lifestyle, and bond with their colleagues.
The Surgery team had a blast partaking in a variety of activities, including Hula Hoop Dance, Kan Jam, Peer Pong, Thunderbird Scavenger Hunt, and Tiny Tennis. These activities allowed team members to showcase their skills, have fun, and work together to achieve common goals.
After the sports activities, the team enjoyed an opportunity to socialize over lunch. The event allowed team members to connect and build relationships.
